Terms
Website Terms.
Short, and written to be read rather than skipped.
Who operates this site
This site is operated by Dan Burdetsky, working as an individual practitioner. There is no VAT registration. Anything about these terms can be raised on WhatsApp using the number on the contact page, or by email at dan@burdetsky.xyz.
Using the site means accepting these terms
Using this site means accepting the terms on this page as they stand when you use it. If you do not accept them, the answer is not to use the site.
What you may do here
Read it, quote it with attribution, link to it, and send an enquiry. What is not on: scraping it at a rate that degrades it for anyone else, probing it for weaknesses, or using either contact route for anything other than a genuine enquiry. The published address is for enquiries, not for a list somebody bought.
Who owns what is published here
The words, the case studies, the diagrams and the design of this site belong to Dan Burdetsky, except where something is credited to someone else. Third-party names and marks belong to whoever owns them and appear here for description only.
Case-study material is not yours to reuse
The case studies may not be copied, republished or presented as anyone else’s work. They describe engagements that other people were part of, and reusing them without permission misrepresents those people as well as this site.
This is information, not an offer and not advice
Everything here is published for information. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing here is professional advice on your own systems, your security, your legal position or your tax position. Your situation has details this site knows nothing about.
No promise that you would get the same result
The outcomes described in the case studies happened in those engagements, with those systems, those constraints and those people. They are not a forecast and they are not a warranty of what any other engagement would produce.
Case studies are anonymised, and some visuals are recreations
Case studies are anonymised. Clients are described rather than named unless they have agreed to be named, and details that would identify a client are left out even where they would make the story better. Certain visuals are recreations: they were rebuilt for publication with synthetic content, so that the shape of the work can be shown without showing anybody’s real data. Where a visual is a recreation, it says so beside it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to sites nobody here controls. A link is not an endorsement, and what those sites do with your data is between you and them.
WhatsApp, email and other services
Pressing the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own terms. Pressing an email button opens your own mail application, and the message is sent by you from your own account rather than by this site. The same goes for any other third-party service reached from here. Their availability, their behaviour and their terms are theirs. What happens to what you send is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Limits of liability
This site is provided as it is. There is no promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, there is no liability for loss arising from using this site or from relying on anything published on it. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Getting in touch does not start an engagement
Messaging on WhatsApp or sending an email does not make you a client, and no client relationship is formed by either. Work starts only under a signed agreement that sets out the scope, the terms and what each side is responsible for, and nothing before that agreement commits either of us to anything.
This site sells to businesses
The services described here are offered to businesses. This is not a consumer service and nothing here is sold to individuals for personal use.
Because nothing is sold through this site, there is no returns policy, no refunds policy, no delivery policy and no cancellation or cooling-off right, and none of those things is omitted by accident. There is no shop, no checkout, no payment and no account. Anything of that kind would live in a signed agreement, not here.
These terms can change
These terms can change. The date below is when this version took effect, and using the site after that date means accepting the version in force at the time.
This version took effect on 2026-08-17, when an email route was published alongside WhatsApp. The version before it took effect on 2026-08-16.
How to reach us about these terms
WhatsApp or email, whichever suits you. Normally a reply the same business day. The contact page has the number and the address.
