Privacy
Privacy Policy.
This site collects almost nothing, and this page is written to be checkable rather than reassuring.
Who is responsible
Dan Burdetsky is responsible for the personal data described on this page. He works as an individual practitioner. There is no VAT registration.
Everything on this page can be raised with him directly, on WhatsApp using the number published on the contact page, or by email at dan@burdetsky.xyz. Either goes to him and to nobody else.
What this notice covers
This notice is about visiting this website. Work carried out for a client under a signed agreement is governed by that agreement, and the data handling in it is separate from anything described here.
What is collected, and where it comes from
Three things collect anything at all, and two of them are not this site.
Server logs
The platform that serves this site records the ordinary details of each request, including the IP address it came from, so that pages can be delivered and the site kept available.
Pressing a WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp and hands the conversation to Meta, which processes it under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Dan is not responsible for that part. What he does with the conversation afterwards is what he does with any enquiry, and the retention below applies to it.
Pressing an email button opens your own mail application with the address, a subject and a first line already filled in. Nothing is sent from this site and nothing is submitted to it: your mail program sends the message, from your own account, and this site never sees it.
Mail addressed to this domain is received by Cloudflare and forwarded to a mailbox Dan reads. That is checkable rather than asserted: the domain’s MX records point at Cloudflare’s mail routing, and anyone can look them up. What arrives is an enquiry from you, containing whatever you chose to put in it, and the retention below applies to it. There is no list, no newsletter, no automatic reply and no marketing tool behind the address.
Nothing else
There is no contact form on this site, so nothing is submitted to it and nothing is stored by it. There is no analytics or measurement tool of any kind. There are no cookies and nothing is written to or read from your device. There is no account, no login, no payment, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker. There is no client-side JavaScript at all, and no request leaves this site’s own origin: the fonts are served from here rather than from a font provider.
That is why there is no consent banner. There is nothing to consent to.
Why it is processed, and on what basis
- Serving the site and keeping it available. The legitimate interest in a site that stays up and can deliver a page.
- Answering an enquiry that reaches him on WhatsApp or by email. Steps taken at your request before any contract, and the legitimate interest in replying to somebody who asked to be replied to.
- Keeping a record of enquiries. The legitimate interest in remembering who got in touch and what was discussed, for the period stated below.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare, serving this site and receiving mail for its domain. Request metadata, including the IP address the request arrives from, is processed to deliver the page and keep the site available. Mail sent to the published address is received by Cloudflare and forwarded to a mailbox Dan reads, so the message and everything in it passes through Cloudflare on the way. Where it processes data: a global edge network, and the platform decides which location serves a given request.
- Meta, if and only if you press a WhatsApp button. From that point the conversation is in WhatsApp under Meta’s own terms.
- Whoever runs your own mail. An email you send leaves your provider before it reaches this domain, and that part is between you and them. It is named here because it is true, not because Dan controls it.
There is no measurement provider and no form provider, because there is no measurement and no form.
How long it is kept
- Server logs are kept for 30 days.
- Unconverted enquiries are deleted after 12 months.
- An enquiry that turns into work is kept for as long as that work and the periods any tax or limitation rule requires afterwards.
Your rights, and how to use them
Access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as the law where you are gives them to you. All of them are exercised the same way: ask, on WhatsApp or by email. There is no form to fill in and no procedure to follow, and you will not be asked to justify the request.
If you are not satisfied, raise it with Dan first through the same route. That does not take anything away from you: you keep the right to complain to the data protection authority that supervises this processing, and, where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
Automated decision-making
None. No decision about you is made automatically, and there is no profiling. A person reads every enquiry.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. No data is knowingly collected from anyone under 18.
How to raise anything on this page
This page used to say that no email address was published, and that the omission was deliberate because an address nobody watches is worse than none. An address was published on 2026-08-17, so that paragraph is gone rather than quietly softened, and what replaces it is the part that was actually load-bearing: the address is watched. It reaches Dan, he reads it, and nothing else reads it first.
Either route works and neither is preferred. The contact page has the number and the address.
Representative in the EU and the UK
None is appointed. This site is published in English only, prices nothing in euros, runs no campaign aimed at any European market and has no European contact details. If that changes, a representative is appointed and named here before it ships.
Version and effective date
This version took effect on 2026-08-17, when an email address was published and the paragraph saying there was not one came off. The version before it took effect on 2026-08-16.
